Slow Cooker Garlic Herb Mushrooms

  • 24 oz cremini mushrooms ( If you cannot find, white mushrooms from the produce dept work)
  • 4 cloves garlic;minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • kosher salt/freshly ground pepper; to taste
  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley leaves

Put the mushrooms, garlic, basil, oregano, thyme, bay leaves into a 3qt slow cooker. Stir in broth, season with salt/pepper.

Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 1 to 2 hours. You can also cook until mushrooms are brown and tender! Stir in half and half and the butter during the last 15 mins of cooking time.

Serve immediately, Garnish with parsley
